“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” — Mark 16:15
Our Story
JTK TV was founded on 22 October 2004 by Dr. K. B. Raja Alexander and Mr. Kensington Balasingh, with a God-given vision to take the Good News of Jesus Christ into homes across Tamil Nadu and beyond.
Built upon the command of Christ to preach the Gospel to every creature, JTK TV was established with a clear purpose: to proclaim the Gospel, strengthen faith, encourage prayer, and bring hope and spiritual transformation to people through television and digital media.
The Indian Express featured JTK TV as the first Christian television channel entering homes with a vision of building morality and values in the hearts and lives of people. Since its beginning, JTK TV has continued to serve as a platform through which pastors, evangelists, Bible teachers, musicians, and Christian ministries can reach audiences across generations.
A Ministry Through Media
JTK TV has played a significant role in using television as a tool for Christian ministry. What was once viewed by many families primarily as entertainment became, through JTK TV, a means of spiritual instruction, prayer, worship, and biblical learning.
Today, JTK TV reaches viewers across different cities, communities, age groups, and backgrounds. The channel provides 24/7 Christian programming, including Gospel messages, worship songs, Bible teaching, prayer programs, discussions, and inspirational programs designed to encourage viewers in their walk of faith.
Our vision remains unchanged: to use media to reach more people with the message of Christ and to make the Gospel accessible to every home.
Prayer at the Heart of Our Ministry
Our daily “Mizpah Prayer Time”, telecast from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, provides viewers with an opportunity to call, share their prayer requests, and join together in earnest prayer.
Every day, people of different ages bring their needs before God—from families seeking restoration and individuals seeking healing and guidance to children sharing simple yet deeply meaningful requests.
JTK TV also conducts monthly live prayer gatherings, fasting prayers, and 12-hour live prayer programs four times a year, bringing viewers together in a spirit of faith, intercession, and unity.
Bible Teaching and Christian Programs
JTK TV provides a variety of programs designed to encourage Bible reading, spiritual growth, and deeper understanding of God’s Word.
Among the programs appreciated by viewers are Doctor’s Time, Discovering the Depths, Endless Thoughts, and other Bible-centered programs.
Our Bible Quiz, conducted every Saturday, has become a much-loved program among viewers and Bible readers, encouraging families and individuals to study and engage with Scripture.
Through these programs, JTK TV seeks not only to broadcast Christian content but also to equip, encourage, educate, and inspire viewers in their faith.
Reaching the World Through Technology
JTK TV continues to embrace new technologies to make Christian programming accessible to viewers wherever they are.
The channel is available across Tamil Nadu through SCV Set Top Box – Channel 199 and is also accessible through digital platforms including Amazon Fire TV, Tata Binge, Android TV, and other supported platforms around the world.
Through television, digital streaming, and emerging media platforms, JTK TV continues to expand its reach and fulfil its founding vision of taking the Gospel beyond geographical boundaries.
Together, We Build the Kingdom of God
For more than two decades, JTK TV has continued its journey of faith, ministry, prayer, and service.
We are deeply grateful to God for His faithfulness and thankful for the prayers, encouragement, and support of pastors, preachers, ministry partners, viewers, and well-wishers.
Together, we continue to proclaim the Gospel, bring hope to hearts, strengthen families, serve communities, and build the Kingdom of God.
